We had another special event last week on the Tanberg... something we have been waiting for a while to do! We have a very special member of the TLC who has been sick for quite sometime and unable to participate in much of our events this year... but we still love him so and have been wanted him to know how much we care and think about him!
His name is Zeke and he has Cystic Fibrosis. He is such an AMAZING kid and the great news is that he has been getting better and better!
We met with our TLC buddies on the Tanberg last week to tell Zeke about a special fundraiser the student council organized and the TLC did in honor of him this winter, where we raised money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation!
We also wanted to give him a VERY special gift that our dear friend, Lisa, from Isle au Haut organized and created for us... a homemade quilt that had squares from all the TLC students and teachers on it! It came out GORGEOUS and we were so excited to see his face when he opened it up!
So this is the beauty of the TLC... yes we learn and work together. We create curriculum. We use technology. We have LOTS of meetings. But most of all, we care about each other. We are a family. And THAT is what makes us so special!
I am just SO grateful to have been apart of it all.
