This Monday for our TLC science time we did something a little different. Now that all of our TLC schools have had a chance to lead the group, teaching them about a specific geology topic, we decided to spend some time reflecting on all we have learned this trimester in science and do some inquiry work around those topics!
We had our first TLC inquiry day!! We broke the kids up into grade level groups and had them work with teachers via skype and polyberg to develop some inquiry questions about the topics we have learned about this trimester in science!
The whole group met together to go over the plan and get instructions for what we needed to do in our small groups.
The olders worked with me on the Polyberg. They came up with some great inquiry questions.
We used a google doc for all the groups to brainstorm their questions and then we came back as a large group to share what we were wondering about.

Now that we have all these great questions the kids are going to do individual science projects to try and find some answers to what they are wondering about. We hope to have a kind of "virtual science fair"this spring where we can share our projects together!
